This image caught our eye on a poster in Montreal. It’s pretty tough to beat as an arresting political image. Biking in Montreal was a joy compared to any American city I know of. That’s likely due to the efforts of the many bike riders there.

The Lachine Canal bike path was particularly nice. Such a multi-use trail should run along the Kanawa.
I see very few helmets among those bikers!
Alas, tis true. In reality, however, I was surprised at the frequency of helmet use—just about all the children and most of the adults.
